Storm's a Brewing?

Courtesy of an anonymous tip the QAC Torch has discovered that everyone's favorite political gadfly, Sveinn Storm got it into his head to do some renovation work on a house he owns in Centreville.

210 S Commerce Street 2

While it's nice that he's cleaning up such an eyesore on one of the main roads in Centreville, he should probably make the next person he attacks on Pave Our County himself.

First, he began this work before the town had granted him permission to do so. As you can see near the bottom of one of the pages of pictures, they were sent on September 15.

210 S Commerce Street 1

However, a quick call to the Centreville town office revealed that Mr. Storm had not yet received a permit for any of those renovations - as of September 22 he still hadn't received a permit since it was still awaiting final signatures.

Second, the town office says the permit indicates that Storm plans to do the work himself. That's another big no-no. Back on May 6th the EPA issued a ruling revising the regulations for renovations on buildings built before 1978.

That ruling specifically prohibits anyone from doing renovation work, interior or exterior, on a house built before 1978 unless they are specially certified for it by the EPA.

The house in question? Built in 1918 - but there's no record on the EPA's website of Storm having completed the necessary certifications. Illegally doing renovation work without certification is a serious offense, one punishable by a civil fine of up to $25,000 and a criminal fine of up to $25,000 and up to a year in prison.

If you're interested in notifying the EPA of these violations, you can use their online complaint/tip form, located here to submit info on Mr. Storm and his flagrant violations of the law.

Now personally, we here at the Torch might not care for these sort of regulations, but if Storm plans to attack others for their law violations he ought to look to his own house first, both figuratively and literally.

  1. oh yeah you can count on me doing just that. It amazes me how people can trust someone like this man. First he gets pretty much thrown out of Talbot Co. for doing bad work and causing a mans house to cave in (one that he built by the way) Then he gets arrested for breaking and entering in Centerville with a minor, he just has a flagrant disreguard for any law that does not suit him.

  2. What goes around comes around. Seems Swine Storm got a little dirt on himself! Maybe we can help him turn it into a pile!

  3. Everyone should call the papers and the Town of Centreville to let them know that we do not condone this in our town and County.
Mr. Storm should be charged with these violations as he would have anyone else who would do the same!

  4. I guess Storm isn't selling enough ice cream to hire a legitimate company to do his work (probably doesn't pay for his work anyway). What would Storm do if this was YOU? The word for today is "RECIPROCATE"!

  5. Pave Our County should knock down BOTH of those dumps on each side of the road as you enter the Town.
The ice cream man can't afford to fix them correctly!
Maybe he should open a snowball stand or lemonaide stand (probably won't get a permit for those either!)

  6. When Storm goes to jail I wonder what he might look like in a blond wig...25,000 dollars that's alot of icecream!

  7. Since Storm has no respect for the law we need to send the EPA to see him in regards to lead abatement to see if he is in compliance with the new standards. If he had started construction with out abating the lead the air could be contaminated beyond his property. The EPA just might have to condemn his house, this might not be all bad I know how much Storm likes open space so when they nock his house down that would add to the towns open space requiremants.Yeepee...

  8. Did you see the front page picture of Storm's Ice Cream store in last Friday's Capital - it got flooded in last Thursday's rains. Looks like God is already striking back at Storm for acting like he is above the law. Couldn't have happened to a more "deserving" person!

  9. Where is QACA on this issue? Let's fill the streets with protestors, and boycott his business. Maybe we should picket his store.

He should definitely be reported to the EPA, Town and County and the EPA, Town and County should be held accountable by people calling and asking what has been done....and being persistant. I'm not sure I'd make it front page news at this point. Most people don't know who is is, that he has a website or the malicious stuff he says. I don't want to acknowledge that his website even exists. I've talked to several people who will be voting for good candidates and they had never head of Storm, his website or what is says. I'm guessing the rest of his crew is being silent because they don't want to be sued. Storm's house is in his wife's name only. Maybe he is anticipating lawsuits...

  11. It sure is okay to kick some one else in the backside, huh--Mr. Storm. Even to attack St. Paul's Church construction across the street for what you felt was improper documentation. YOU have lead every negative march and parade in the Town of Centreville, even joined the Ruthburgers fight to ban FASTC. Where are your friends now? The folks at Ruthsburg? the QACA? the negative Centrevillers? You are out on that limb alone, and the majority of us who have watched you over the years hope that those in authority will do what they are paid for--that is, close you down and fine you for your deliberate actions. GET out of our Town--give us that blessing, please. Let the limb fall with you on it . . .

  12. Hey, Mr. Storm:
Welcome to the Proper Actions of Centreville Citizens Committee! You have always felt as if you are the Leader of the Attack Pack here, now the shoe is on the other foot.
Guess you have too many liens against YOU to have the house in your name, but push it off on your wife, huh? Mr. Foxy--you fought loudly to prevent the State Department training facility to be built in Ruthsburg but you joined as a member of their Community Center in order to get a DISCOUNT for holding your closed meetings there. Clever. But more dishonesty on your part. You did not even know those people or where Ruthsburg was located on the map, huh? They fell for your tactics in a big way. More dishonesty.
You sell ice cream in Annapolis to Midshipmen of the U.S Navy, who are being trained to go all over the World to protect our country--and you, as an UN American, have worked to oppose the Security Training Center where these men and women would be protected. More dishonesty. You take their money for ice cream cones while working against them just miles from their Naval Academy. You are a BUZZARD--no doubt about it. You cannot see a worthy project when it comes just miles from your house. So YOU deserve all grief and bother -- it is seeking you and hopefully will find you. You are nothing but a little man and SNEAK.

  13. Notice there are lots and lots of political signs bordering your Centreville house--the one in disrepair. Wish one of those signs said

    FOR SALE

and that you would leave our nice Town and never return. NO one would miss you . . .

  14. Anyone want to march at Annapolis Harbor and announce the boycott of Storm Bros. Ice Cream store? He backed that Kent Island boycott, along with his big mouth buddy, Dung-myer who may be the next commissioner. Anyone want to give back to them what they attempted to do to us down here at Stevensville and to the businesses on Kent Island? Rise up! Speak out to their low practices. Toss Dung-meyers signs in the air, and do not VOTE for that low life in November!

  15. I wonder if there is a way to get the word out to the Naval Academy, so the midshipmen can decide if they want to support a business that is run by a man who is unpatriotic and basically evil. Wish his business was in Queen Anne's County so I could boycott it.

  16. I just heard that he was turned in by his neighbors, and former good friends, the Worths!

  17. GREAT NEWS FOR TRASH LIKE STORM.

This is the man who created Citizens for Greater Centreville, which should have been called Felons for Hater Centreville. All Storm has done for years is spread his bad morals and nasty, vile practices throughout the County. Previous poster is correct- look at the signs for candidates that he's got in his yard. That's the sign for me to vote for anyone else. This foul creature should be in jail, where they'd take care of him in 10 minutes during yard time.

  18. Both of Storm's houses look like they should be for pigs. Here is a man questioning other establishments in Queen Anne's County and he has rats running across the street from one house to the next ( And the biggest rat I have ever saw--Oh! It's Storm himself.) I see why someone calls him Swine Storm! I wouldn't house pigs there, and he has his kids there. Send this pig squealing out of our County and condemn both houses for open space. He home schools his kids, because he is afraid they might tell what really goes on in that swallow!

  19. I would hope that BQA would do a community service to the Annapolis area and post a warning in the Capital as to how Mr. Storm keeps his homes, and watch out for what they maybe paying for in their ice cream. The "Cartel" should send its henchman to protest his business as he would be the first to suggest this if the circumstances were reversed. Maybe we should "rally" the fine citizens of Centreville to protest.

  20. As a close neighbor to this "slob" for many years he has kept the value of my home down, because of the way he keeps his homes. He has trash piled up, ugly signs around both houses (unfortunately not one that says for sale, and disrepair to both homes. The Town Commissioners should come down hard on him, and he should be charged with every violation possible.

  21. Storm is a major manipulator in every area that he attaches himself. NO ONE requests his presence or his attention, he just appears and takes command. Now, it is time for the officials of the Town of Centreville to direct their attention to Mr. Storm. CALL the Town Office and ask them what their position is on the Storm issues--410-758-1180. Mr. McGory
Put pressure on SStorm, maybe we will be lucky enough to have him leave Town or foreclose on the real estate.

  22. Hey--hear this!
Storm sells lice scream in Annapolis to lots of Naval Middies--and he is thoroughly unpatriotic, traitorous, and completely uncivic minded. Against an important government undertaking that would offer protection to our nation and to the military serving on posts around the United States. He owns NO business here--he owns NO houses here. Why does he even cross the Bridge? He is nothing to this Town but a major bother and law breaker.

  23. Why is it even called "Storm Bros Ice Cream Factory"? They don't make their own icecream - it's TURKEY HILL. Deceptive!!!!

  25. Rumor has it around Annapolis business circles that old Storm grabbed that ice cream company, called Storm Brothers Ice Cream, from his family and called it his own. Cut all members of his family OUT. Another manipulation by this unsavory character. He deserves all the trouble that is possible. He is consistent--always out for one person, HIMSELF. He has never been anything but a taker for HIS benefit.

  26. Just looked at Storm's Blog site--- The man takes pictures of dead rats in his home and tries to blame another establishment! My guess is Storm's friends (all 2 or 3) have abanoned him.
He will tell everyone he was set up and the CARTEL got him! I would be embarrassed if I had one of my political sighns in one of his yards. BUT then again water seeks its own level!

  27. I live in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, and report that Storm's ice cream company's employees have been sited by numerous customers due to lack of proper hygiene practices. I would never eat or buy products from there since it is not clean and is unsafe due to unwashed hands by his employees. The County Health Department was notified and the licenses were pulled several times. They do not make their ice cream served there, and you are correct it is Turkey Hill. Nothing clean. Nothing special in that place. Be warned and aware.

  28. I had the misfortune to buy an ice cream at Storm bros. several years ago. Watched them scoop the ice cram with their bare hands then found what looked like dirt on it. Threw it away and have warned anybody who would think of purchasing anything from them not to! I am sure nothing has changed by looking at the way the man keeps his business and homes. He should go in the junk business with Squeeky Lofland (his half brother).

    ReplyDelete
  29. I hope someone has the time to go down to the Health dept. and pull the records of violations for Storm's Lice Cream place. You know he would do it if it was YOUR business!

  30. Don't know if this is true or not, but heard that during the big rain spell we recently had that he was on television as far as downtown annapolis and the tv video showed that the sewer had backed up into the store because of all the rain. What poetic justice.

  31. Is it true that Jay Falstad was seen performing the renovations with Storm? A reliable source saw him onsite with a toolbelt on.

  32. To the post on Oct 11 4:05 Please let's not bring Squeeky into this, Squeeky is an honest man and to compare him to this hobbit is wrong. I have checked on his Health Dept records, His last one was ok (sorry). Yes I have heard that the sewer backed up in the store, the funny thing was did you see him pumping it out in the street, down the road into the harbor, I did. what a fine greenie he is, as far as Jay helping him, that would amaze me because i dont think he knows what hard work is. The town of centreville is affraid of him, why I dont know Bob Mcgory is a waste of town money. Under his watch three law suits for a quarter million each for wrongful tremination. He is another one of Storms Buddy's.He lets Storm walk on any job the town is doing and run the job. Just ask any town employee they will tell you of the record. Run em both out of town.

  33. Storm is a jackass and it is gratifying to see that so many recognize it. Anyone who can't pronounce his own name correctly is worrisome...how do you get a "D" sound out of "ienn" anyway???? I wonder why the newspapers are so quick to pick up his whacked out stories and totally baseless conspiracies, but turn a blind eye to his violations of the law that in this case endanger his neighbors. Are the editors afraid of him or in cohoots???

    ReplyDelete
  34. Storm the Jackass

All the Town Officials step back and are afraid to tangle with the jerk. He gets the upper hand with his threats and intimidations. IF there are so many things wrong with our Town and County, what keeps STJ here? Find another ZIP code, you BIG cry baby!

    ReplyDelete
  35. The man is working on his own house and doesn't need anything from the EPA - check the law! You'd think you all would be glad to see improvement. The County and Town of Centreville are better places because of Sveinn Storm and his activism.

  36. LOLOLOL ya'll a bunch of crazy people. He's "unpatriotic and basically evil"? Hyperbolic much? And since when is political dissent intrinsically unpatriotic? Isn't that what this nation what founded upon? How about this gem? : "Anyone who can't pronounce his own name correctly is worrisome...how do you get a "D" sound out of "ienn" anyway????" Entirely logical. The man has a foreign name, so clearly he is of unseemly character. (Side note: Scandinavian consonant clusters make different sounds than in English, rtard. You know, like most foreign languages have a tendency to do?). And a "foul creature [who] should be in jail, where they'd take care of him in 10 minutes during yard time"? Wow. You don't think wishing the man to be anally brutalized and murdered in a prison yard is going a little too far? I mean, maybe if he raped your daughter or something, but for any less heinous crime that seems a bit draconian. Well, haters gonna hate, especially when they're a raft of miserable, ill-educated, greasy turds that can barely comprehend the finer points of punctuation, much less the law. You guys are priceless. Rage on.
